Discussion:
Never once did Jesus ever refer to Mary as His mother... because God has no mother, Heb. 7:1-3

" Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of
life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. " Heb. 7:3

*****************************************

if God intended to call Mary His " mother, " he'd have said so in the Bible. but He doesn't.
instead, He does put in the Bible for all who claim otherwise, plain text that Jesus Christ has no
mother.

it then becomes heresy to assign such a title to Mary.

why then do such people do it ? the answer comes from the Bible and more direct statements from God
that to add to His Word, or take away from His Word, inherits all of the plagues written in the Word
of God. Rev. 22:18,19.

the first plague coming upon these worshipers of Mary ( and other dead people ) is in the here and
now... that they are idolater's, and no idolater is among the elect, 1 Cor. 6:9,10. they are among
those without oil in their lamps and are assigned to the Lake of Fire in the Day of Judgement as we
read in Rev. 21:8, the Second Death, which is the fruition of the plagues, plural.

because adult idol worshipers teach idol worship to children, therefore a life long subjection to
their belief system of people worship becomes the only system they know. for them to actually open
the Bible and read Heb. 7 and obey God's First Commandment in Ex. 20 not to put dead people ahead of
the Living God is, just as the Bible says is... " foolishness. " 1 Cor. 1:18

for the person kneeling down in his church with graven images standing, along with pictures of
Christ, Mary and the host of heaven, any sort of dead person, defines that person as an idol
worshiper. 2 dimensional copies of dead people are idols just as much as 3 dimensional copies of
dead people.

to get around so abundantly clear the passages in God's Word which declare against idol worship /
people worship, the idol worshipers have long since devised a system of redefinition of terms. they
say they do not actually worship the copies of dead people they have in their churches nor the
pictures of dead people they have on the walls of their churches... they only " venerate " these
dead people.

" venerate " is a synonym for " worship, " just as " revere " is a synonym for " worship. " and to
get on ones knees in a church with graven image copies of anything which is in heaven, even God
Himself, is forbidden by God as we read in Ex. chapter 20.

serve them they do to the point that even as the Day of Judgement is upon the idol worshiper /
people worshiper they will not repent of idol worship / people worship. Rev. 9:20,21. being taught
idol worship from childhood they are satisfied with it.

Joe, I think it's time you came clean - if you personally believe in God,
please state so.

Which Christian denomination do you identify with, if any?

If you *are* a Christian, why do you believe that your personal
interpretation of the Bible is superior to that of countless learned
Theologians who precede you?

I would further note that Hebrews 7:3 refers to MELCHIZEDEK, who, by
having no father or mother, is said to RESEMBLE the Son of God. That
is different from saying that Jesus has no mother. As Luke 1:41-43,
which I have cited above, shows, Jesus DOES have a mother, Mary.

Ah, so according to Joe, Jesus was not born of Mary, but of some
other woman. And it would appear that according to "old man joe"
logic, that Elizabeth is here recorded as worshipping Mary.

So it then follows, according to old man joe, that because Jesus
is not recorded as having gone to the bathroom, that he must therefore
never have done so. But that would also fit in with omj's apparent
rejection of the actual physical incarnation as a real man, born of a
woman.

of course a Mary worshiper can not expound Holy Scripture so they must again and again reply to the

befuddled when it comes to expounding Holy Scripture themselves.

wake up. the subject line in my original post is " Never once did Jesus ever refer to Mary as His
mother... because God has no mother, Heb. 7:1-3. "

how in the world do you see Jesus calling Mary His mother in Lk. 1:41-43 when two entirely different
people are recorded ?

the problem is, you read in Scripture rather than from it. there are many occasions of people
calling Mary Jesus' mother in the Gospels but never once does Jesus call Mary His mother... He calls
her " woman " as in " Jesus saith unto her, woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not
yet come. " Jn. 2:4

and again " He saith unto his mother, woman, behold thy son. " Jn. 19;26

you simply do not believe the Bible, otherwise, you would not be offering passages which do not fit
the subject matter.

Naturally, Joe believes only in the bible. He doesn't know why
those 76 books are in the Bible, or why they should be considered
special, but he only believes in the Bible.
Of course, old man, Joe doesn't make a distinction between worship
and respect (unlike the new testament), so for him, this passage must
be a corruption, because as he knows, Elizabeth must be worshipping
Mary in this passage.

Joe is also arguing that because Jesus never refers to his mother
by that term, then of course, the whole notion of the incarnation of
God the Word, in the flesh, fully man and fully divine, must be so
much paganism. Because for joe, the very idea of a woman being the
birth giver of God, is like saying that The Mother of the Year refers
to the woman who gave birth to time.

Old man joe doesn't believe (apparently) that Jesus was actually
_born_ of a woman. Or that Elizabeth was not committing idolatry in
the above passage, where (according to his interpretation) she is
worshipping Mary.

Old man joe presumes that his new age protestantism was the way
that it always was, and reads back into the records of The Church,
that which he believes. He leans on scripture as a drunk leans on a
lamppost - for support and not illumination.

What is really sad, is the number of people who do believe like
him.

the subject of the post is " Never once did Jesus ever refer to Mary as His mother... because God
has no mother, Heb. 7:1-3 "

how in the world do you read from the passages you offer that Jesus is calling Mary His mother ?

He doesn't. He does call her " woman " but never " mother. "

" Jesus saith unto her, woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. " Jn. 2:4

" woman, behold thy son. " Jn. 19:26

now offer a passage where Jesus' own words, coming out of His own mouth are recorded for us saying
" mother, what have I to do with thee... " ?

and, " mother, behold thy son. "

Jesus never calls Mary His mother by His own words. only Mary's worshipers have a problem with
that, just like they have a problem with her having at least 6 other children and just like they
have a problem with her being a rank sinner like everyone else. Ro. 3:10-18

where do these verses say Jesus is calling Mary " His mother " ? they don't, and such is reading

And where does he refer to the new testament?

Hmm, no record of him referring to the City of Rome, either, so it
must not have happened.

Everybody claims he was a carpenter, but does Jesus ever say it?
No! Ergo, Jesus could not have been a carpenter.

Joe apparently believes that because Jesus is never recorded as
referring to Mary as his mother, that therefore she could not be his
mother. Joe either believes that Jesus had some other woman as his
mother, or that Jesus was not truly a human being, born of a woman.

But he seems convinced that Elizabeth, wife of a Priest, must have
been worshipping Mary, due to his repeated confusion of worship and
respect.

because it isn't in the Gospels? Like "Hey Daddy! When you sneezed,
you still got a booger in there - a nose goblin - you need to wipe it
off!". You think He NEVER said that because it isn't in the Gospels?
He did work in a wood shop and there is always some wood dust floating
around making someone sneeze, you know, but since it isn't in the
Gospels, it DID NOT HAPPEN, COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED, right? I think
Dog the Bounty Hunter has a better grip on theology than I see here.
Keep reading those Chick tracts tho! They usually bring out the best
in folks. Nice logic, Koresh...

life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.  "  Heb. 7:3

if God intended to call Mary His " mother, " he'd have said so in the Bible.  but He doesn't... instead, He does put in the Bible for all who claim otherwise, plain text that Jesus Christ has no mother. it then becomes heresy to assign such a title to Mary.

Gnostic non-sense shouting an emotional outburst stemming from imagination rather than the Holy
Scriptures. Heb. 7:1-3 clearly says Jesus has no mother, of which you avoid to address.

** my guess is that you would rejoice because you were taught that
suffering is one of the paths to Blessed salvation. As for me, I would be
dead meat after 2-to 3 days in jail, so I wouldn't get nailed.
